Most brands show up at events. We make sure yours is the reason people stayed.

Scene Setters Production was founded in 2025 by designer Mercy Moturi. We design physical spaces that translate a brand's identity into something you can walk into, touch, and remember. From the floor plan to the finishes, every decision is made with one question in mind: what do we want people to feel when they leave?

Oasis Park

A biophilic stand that brings nature onto the show floor. Organically curved timber arches wrapped in climbing greenery frame glass digital displays, creating a collaborative hub for city planners and sustainable-tech developers. It is modular by design, so it can scale up, scale down and adapt to each event.

SQYN

A modular stand that reflects SQYN's pure, organic ethos through warm timber, soft lighting and live greenery suspended from a sculpted canopy. Curved forms and oval display units guide visitors naturally from the reception counter to product shelves and a seated consultation bar.

Muthokinju Paints & Cement

A bold, colour-driven stand that builds its story from the client's own products: a rainbow wall of paint swatches, textured finish samples with rollers, and a tipped bucket pouring red paint across the floor. A reception counter clad in ribbed PVC pipe and stacked cement bags complete a space that sells and consults in equal measure.

01

Strategic Brief & Brand Translation

We start by listening. Before any sketches, we go deep into your brand narrative and marketing objectives, translating your core message into an actionable spatial strategy.

02

Experiential Concept Development

We design an overarching spatial concept: the story your stand will tell, the feeling it creates, and the journey it takes visitors on. Modular forms, materiality and product display options all explored at this stage.

High Fidelity 3D Visualisation & Build

You see the space before it exists: photorealistic renders of lighting, textures, scale and flow. Then our team executes a seamless translation from render to physical reality.

Designed by Mercy Moturi, from Nairobi.

Mercy Moturi is a Nairobi-based designer and the founder of Scene Setters Production. She established the agency in 2025 with a clear belief: that the spaces a brand occupies are as important as the brand itself.
